HOPE SAVES THE DAY
On the day a rare “ring of fire” solar eclipse took over the skies of western Pennsylvania, the entire staff and clients of PEOPLE. locked themselves out of the building. “We prepared for the event by drinking Sunny D mixed with Blue Moon,” said Kimmy Klein (producer). Intoxicated from the Sun-Moonmosas, they forgot to grab a key. Jelly (director) said, “I had to go to the bathroom so badly I walked to the Lincoln Bakery and begged to use the employee only bathroom. They forced me to buy a tray of bougatsas.”
The rest of the group, also full bladdered, were desperate to get back into the office. At the glass door stood Hope, Stally’s (the colorist) black lab. Blaze (VFX artist) took matters into her own hands by using a mind control technique she learned at band camp and coaxed Hope into pressing the unlock button. “The technique is simple, bring the hate of everything front of mind, then blow it out,” explained the young animator. Kimmy clarified that it was part mind control and part the beef stick Blaze had in her pocket. When Hope opened the door, the race for the bathroom was intense. The injuries sustained will be covered in a future post once there’s clarity on the legal ramifications on the incidents. Hope was rewarded with plenty of love and beef sticks.
